I whipped these up for my sister in a few hours. I simply cast on enough to surround my foot, knit the lenth of my foot plus a half, folded them over, skitched up the sides, seamed up the back, and embroidered some cute kitty ears and a little kitty face. Made with baby yarn, they are suuuuuper soft!
Who says you can only make fun festive candy houses at Christmas? CHristmas gets all the glory. This "Gingerdead House" is made with your standard graham crackers and chocolate icing, which I tinted black with some gel. The graham cracker crumb hill ensures nothing grows on this spooky hill but the little orange cheesit flower bushes. Mini Marshmallow graves, a pumpkin seed shingled roof, and the little Peeps ghosties are hard not to pick off and eat. My favorite, though, is the little icing cauldron I made and filled with poprocks. Add a few drops of water and listen to the potion sizzle!
I made this cute little prop for my entry way. It's just poster board and skewer sticks, but it's a super easy little thing to put out and pack away at the end of Halloween. I intend on using them at the photo booth at our wedding in June!
That's right, babies! I'll probably be taking a break from my normally scheduled wedding blogging to focus on the important things in life: namely, the halloween season.
